Jerry is a lawyer holding practising certificates in both New Zealand and China. Jerry is an expert in cross-border legal matters.
Jerry’s expertise
Jerry specialises in dispute resolution, civil and commercial litigation, and New Zealand-China cross-border matters. In addition, he has particular expertise in dealing with China-related cross-border, cross-language and cross-cultural matters, as well as recognition and enforcement of Chinese judgement in New Zealand and other common law countries.
Apart from acting for clients on complicated disputes in the High Court of New Zealand, Jerry is also an experienced advocate in China, having appeared as counsel in the Higher Court, Intermediate Court, and specialised Court in China in the past 15 years.
Jerry has been asked to provide expert advice regarding Chinese law matters in the High Court and the Family Court of New Zealand.
Jerry is a board member of the Aotearoa Chinese Legal Support Foundation and is sitting in the litigation committee of New Zealand Asian Lawyers.
He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
